Majdanek – A Memorial for Those Who Suffered and Those Who Died There

“Nothing I had read or seen really prepared me for the encounter when in 1981, I visited Majdanek, the concentration camp near Lublin, Poland. That visit and the ensuing memories which continue to haunt me form the basis for much of my work since then. In search for a way to create a lasting memorial he wrote “How to rage against such monstrosity? With my little drawing? Yes! With it!!”
